Losing Hope

I'm losing faith,
losing hope.
But I can't be;
Not after all the pains,
the patience it took.
All the while that I held on
to that glimmer of hope.
And when the time has come,
I can see only fear
and darkness.
Surrounded all around
by the sinking feeling,
I have no where to turn,
no where to go
for I must believe
and not give up
on the path I chose to follow.
